I recently found 2 'review and analyze' publishing's regarding Fibromyalgia and Massage Therapy. The first was recording the results of multiple studies on pain, anxiety, depression, and sleep disturbances. The second focused on comparing the different types of Massage Therapy.

The main points from both of them was that the greatest Massage Therapy effects were founded when A) the treatment course was 5+ weeks in duration, and B) the treatment targeted the lymph and connective tissue systems instead of the muscles.

These are important finding as it aids in advising Massage Therapists when they are recommending treatment to those with Fibromyalgia.
